Building Healthy Corridors: Strategies for Transforming Urban and Suburban Arterials into Thriving Places

Four “demonstration corridors”—in Denver, Boise, Nashville, and Los Angeles—have engaged local partners in their community to work on the opportunities and challenges for specific corridors to become better places. This work is helping to advance efforts to foster places that promote health through strategies to transform the built environments of urban and suburban arterials, focusing on not only the streets themselves but the adjacent neighborhoods.
