We have all felt the impact of these recent weather events. Whatever the cause, the realities of climate change have accelerated the education process to the point of action by the public and private sectors.

Our expert panel will discuss, for the first time, regulatory, planning, insurance and investor policy change decisions that are being discussed and will be implemented region wide.

In response to Sandy, the NYC Mayor’s office has produced a comprehensive report, that addresses what happened during Sandy and why? They will present infrastructure and built environment protection ideas and initiatives. The State of Connecticut also has undertaken a similar task for the coastline communities of Connecticut. We will have representatives from both New York and Connecticut present and discuss these ideas. This discussion can only be complete with a full understanding of how the insurance and investment industries are discussing changes for these new storm ravaged areas and what will the future hold for the building and development industries of this region.

ULI Westchester/Fairfield invites you to this seminal discussion about the built future of our region.

Register now as space is limited.  Questions? Contact mara.winokur@uli.org and reference event #8142-1313.

AICP CM accreditation currently pending.
